Michigan offers a plethora of winter activities for those willing to brave the elements. The beauty is that there is something to do for every skill level and every budget.  Time to enjoy the fruits of this great state!

Skiing and snowboarding are the go-to for many Michiganders and people in the region. The terrain and latitude provide an excellent season year after year and with 47 ski areas in the state offering everything from day passes to luxury accommodations and lift packages and even the country’s only flying ski hill!

Don’t have the sense of balance required for skiing or snowboarding?  Snow tubing may be for you. Michigan has over 20 hills of varying lengths and speeds for the snow tubing and sledding enthusiast. Some even have tow ropes to take you back to the top of the run making it the ultimate in winter recreation.

Did you know that Michigan has over 6,500 groomed snowmobile trails? This interconnected network of trails gives you over 3,000 miles of Michigan splendor to enjoy.  Don’t forget about the Michigan Snowmobile Festival happening in February in Gaylord! It’s a chance to meet up with fellow snowmobilers, tour the city on your sled, and enter to win cash prizes!
